Overview

Andy Frazee is Associate Director of the Writing and Communication Program. His dissertation, "a manuscript of poetry and criticism", explores the hybrid space between the avant-garde and mainstream lineages prevalent in 20th- and 21st-c poetics. His first book of poetry, The Body, The Rooms, was selected by Ruth Ellen Kocher as winner of the Subito Press Book Contest, and was published in 2011. Prior to graduate school, he worked in advertising and marketing and continues to consult for corporate clients. He served as project manager for the GT team awarded a Gates Foundation Grant to develop one of the first Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) focused on college writing. He is currently teaching a course on postmodern literature and culture in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication.
