The annual award honors Georgia Tech educators who work to enhance “student learning outside the traditional curriculum and help Georgia Tech achieve its strategic goal of graduating global citizens who can contribute to all sectors of society,” according to the CTL website.

Lewis, a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication and Urmanbetova, an academic professional in the School of Economics, will receive $3,000 each. They were honored at Georgia Tech’s 2023 Faculty and Staff Honors Luncheon on April 21.

Ivan Allen College faculty are frequent recipients of the award. In 2020, CTL presented the award to Jenny Strakovsky of the School of Modern Languages. In 2017, it went to Jillann Hertel of the School of Literature, Media, and Communications, and in 2013 to Kelly R. Comfort of the School of Modern Languages.
