Brock Participates in Panel About Black Technology

André Brock, associate professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, participated in a panel titled “Between the Black Radical Tradition and the Digital” on Feb. 23. Logic, a technology magazine, and Haymarket Books hosted the discussion.

Brock joined SA Smythe, assistant professor of Black European Cultural Studies, Contemporary Mediterranean Studies, and Black Trans Poetics at University of California, Los Angeles; Zoé Samudzi postdoctoral fellow in the ACTIONS Program at the University of California, San Francisco; and J. Khadijah Abdurahman, founder of We Be Imagining, a public interest technology project at Columbia University’s INCITE Center and The American Assembly’s Democracy and Trust Program.

During the event, the panelists discussed Black freedom and technology.
