Daniel Otaigbe

Background

I’m a Media and Game Studies CM major trying to hone my skills in my passions of game development, music, and visual art. And since there’s room, my favorite video game genres are stylish action, 3D platformers, A/JRPGs, and fighting games.

I’ve gotten to work on a 3D platformer in VGDev named Flying Whales, and in my Intro to CM class, I got to make a professional-looking online portfolio which ended up helping me secure a game development internship in my first semester at Georgia Tech!

I want to own or co-own a video game studio that puts out high-quality games and isn’t bound to a single genre of games. Or anything else that would allow me to make the worlds inside my head come to life through games.

CM is where programmers with an interest in art can pursue art as well as programming.

Work Experience

Daniel is a game development internat Atlanta startup, Fanaticus. As a gameplay programmer, he wrote C# code and shader code for Fanaticus's VR/AR asymmetric games. He's always loved playing games, so being able to merge computer science at Georgia Tech and game development is perfect for him.
