Lisa Yaszek, Regents Professor of Science Fiction Studies in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, and four undergraduate research fellows in the Sci Fi Lab co-authored an article titled "Accessing the Feminist Science Fiction Archive.” The article appeared in FEMSPEC, an interdisciplinary feminist journal dedicated to science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, surrealism, myth, folklore, and other supernatural genres.

Olivia Kiklica, Jessica Taetle, Josie Benner, and Edeliz Zuleta co-authored the article with Yaszek. Kiklica and Taetle are computational media majors. Benner and Zuleta are majoring in biomedical engineering with a minor in science fiction studies.

In the article, Yaszek and the fellows explore the challenges and rewards of researching the feminist science fiction archive for Yaszek's upcoming book, The Future is Female, vol 2: More Classic Science Fiction by Women (The 1970s).
