Senf, Colatrella Honored at Georgia Tech Faculty and Staff Awards

Posted May 12, 2022

Professors Carol Senf and Carol Colatrella each received an award at the 2022 Georgia Tech Faculty and Staff Honors Luncheon. The luncheon took place at the Historic Academy of Medicine on April 29, 2022.

Senf, professor of English and liberal studies, received the 2022 ANAK Faculty Award. The ANAK Society presents the award annually to a faculty member who has “demonstrated outstanding service to the Institute and to the student body.” The ANAK Award is considered one of the highest honors that Georgia Tech faculty members can receive. It is unique in that it is the only award given at the Faculty and Staff Honors Luncheon decided exclusively by students.

Colatrella, professor of literature and cultural studies, received the inaugural Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans Gender Equity Award. The Office of the President established the award to honor a faculty or staff member who has “led a transformative, large-scale effort to advance gender equity, achieved results that impact a large constituency at Georgia Tech, extended efforts across multiple Georgia Tech departments, units or entities, and exhibits a willingness to take on any responsibility necessary to achieve success.” The award comes with a $5,000 prize.

Congratulations to our outstanding professors!
